Launch iTunes and connect your device to computer via the USB cable. Then turn off your device. Hold the Power and Home button together for exactly 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the Power button and keep holding the home button until iTunes detect the device

INSTALLING REDSHOW  & JAILBREAKING

Now you should have to install RedSnow. Download RedSnow 0.9.13 dev 4 Mac • Windows. After installing. Run RedShow and click extra from menu then select your IPSW. Here it is iOS6. RedShow will identify your firmware. Now go back and click jailbreak. this time you will see a dialog box saying “preparing jailbreak data “. You will also see a page showing you to select options for your device. In that page select  “Install SSH” and click next. jailbreaking process will start. After the iOS 6 jailbreak is complete. boot your device. A pineapple logo is shown. It indicates tethered boot. after completing this move onto installing cydia. 

INSTALLING CYDIA

Connect you iOS 6 device to computer over wifi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > and click the arrow next to your connected Wi-Fi router. and you will see your IP address. Now open terminal app (mac) or cmd (windows). and type in terminal as shown in the italic “ssh root@12.34.54.1″ relace the 12.34.54.1 to your ip address which you found out early. After it get connect to your iOS 6 device it ask you to enter the password. the password is “alpine” After entering the password your computer will be connect to iOS6 device. now you have paste this 
“wget -q -O /tmp/cyinstall.sh http://downloads.kr1sis.net/cyinstall.sh && chmod 755 /tmp/cyinstall.sh && /tmp/cyinstall.sh” 

in the terminal with the quotes character. After some time iOS 6 device should reboot, and Cydia will be installed. If you get any permission errors on the terminal, just ignore them. Now you have jailbroken the iOS6. Congratulations

Windows 8 Keyboard Shortcuts for Non-Touchscreen Users

Microsoft’s latest version of the venerable Windows operating system is Windows 8. Unlike many other previous releases, such as Vista and Windows 7, Windows 8 is a major refresh of the operating system and appears quite different than the previous few versions; the biggest revamping since Windows 95.

Touchscreen technology has taken off of late with the introduction of several tablet PCs and the ever-popular iPad, and Windows 8 is designed primarily for use with a touchscreen, be it a tablet or some of the fancier new machines that offer touchscreen monitors.

However, not every user that is planning to upgrade to Windows 8 or purchase a new system is going to have the capability or desire to use a touchscreen. Fortunately, Windows 8 have anticipated this scenario and have included a number of keyboard shortcuts.

Windows + PrtScn
Pressing the Windows button plus the Print Screen button will take a screenshot of what is currently on your machine’s screen, saving it to the hard drive as a .png file in the new Screenshots folder. Not pressing the Windows key will still take a screenshot, but will only copy the shot to the clipboard.

Windows + Z
In previous versions of Windows, clicking with the right mouse button would bring up an options menu for whatever program you were working in. The Windows + Z shortcut serves this same purpose.

Windows + Tab
This shortcut works similar to the familiar Alt + Tab shortcut, but works for Metro apps. Instead of switching between windows, it switches between apps listed on the left side of the screen.

Windows + D
Some people might prefer the older style Windows desktop. This shortcut is a quick way to get to a more familiar-looking desktop. To return to the Metro style desktop, one can simply press the Windows button by itself.

Windows + I
If you need to access the system options, this shortcut is definitely your friend. Also, Windows 8 defaults to putting your computer or tablet to sleep rather than shutting it down and powering it off. By using this shortcut, you will be able to find the hidden option to power the system down completely.

Windows + Full Stop/Period
Pressing Windows + Full Stop will snap the current Metro app to the right of the screen, locking it there and allowing you to continue working on the left side. This is particularly useful for keeping an eye on Twitter.

APPLE UNVEILS I PHONE 5: SOMETHING IS MISSING!!!

The big day finally arrived. The iPhone 5 was finally unveiled by Apple at an event in San Francisco, US. iPhone 5 has a lot of new hardware and some added features.

Where is the magic?

People expected a phone that was taller and also slimmer. It was expected to have no NFC support and a slightly wider display screen. Apple did not disappoint and all rumours about the phone were indeed real. The only problem was there was nothing really surprising about iPhone 5. The changes to the phone were predictable.

Apple had this uncanny knack of focusing on the future. It bet on the iPhone, even at the risk of overshadowing it’s own successful iPod back in 2007. It did the same with iPad by reinventing a gadget which previously thought to be just a small niche product.

But today Apple is in a different place. It is now the world’s most valued company. It was the iPhone which made Apple all those billions in profits. It seems like Apple is scared to do anything radically different with it’s most popular product. It is now behaving like any other large technology company with a super-duper hit product or service.

It sort of reminds me of a Microsoft in the late 90s which was too scared to change things with Windows at its height or even a Nokia which refused to see the touch-interface as the future 5 years ago.

Recently, I’m on the verge of learning basic web designing. It all started with the idea of making a landing page for myself from scratch, without using sites like About.me. I ended up discovering sites which can be very handy for beginners who’re trying to code.

1. Codecademy

This is one of the best things I’ve stumbled upon this year. Codecademy is where you learn code by actually writing it, i.e. by completing exercises which are created by experts of those field. This year, they launched a free initiative named Code Year, calling everyone to learn the basics of coding.
The site lets you track progress, achieve badges and other cool stuff. If you’re stuck at some particular exercise, you can post your doubts in the forums, there are some helpful people out there! You can grab exercises related to Javascript, JQuery and of course CSS3. They also seem to add lessons related to Python, in future. The best thing? All this is free.

How about an instantly searchable documentation of all major programming languages? That’s Dochub. You can easily find documentation for various programming languages online, but it’s all scattered, and it’s not fast. Dochub solves this. Google Introduces Scientific Calculator on its Search Page

Google has many search tricks up its sleeve. For instance we use it as a calculator or even a unit converter. Google has recently updated both its calculator and unit converter to make it more interactive.
All you need to do to launch it is type in “2+2” on its search bar to fire up the new scientific calculator web app.

Considering how common scientific calculators are as free apps on almost all platforms, one could wonder what exactly was Google was trying to do.
But being a web based app on the search result page itself, the calculator can be used across platforms even on mobile phones and tablets.
Also as most smart phones and even Chrome on desktops allow voice input, one could potentially use this app without the need to type in stuff.
